The Santenay appellation is located south of the Côte de Beaune. Les Gatsulards is located opposite Clos de Malte on very stony, sloping soil. A major characteristic is that it heats up very quickly, due to the fact that it faces due south. It is this warmth that gives the wine its beautiful deep garnet-red color, with a nose that opens with pleasant aromas of red berries. A lovely mouthfeel, generous and opulent, marked by morello cherry and blackberry notes, enhanced by silky tannins. A hint of minerality comes through on the finish, thanks to this exceptional terroir. Dont wait to discover the 2021 cuvée, which, it's fair to say, is a masterpiece of craftsmanship!
