Pecorino is usually a traditional round hard Italian cheese with a mild, buttery flavour and creamy texture. This Sicilian Pecorino cream is made using sheep’s milk from sheep raised on the plains of the region. It is usually aged for 5 months or more and there are many varieties of Pecorino depending on where it produced and the added ingredients it features. This one has been made into a spreadable cheese, which can be enjoyed with fresh baked bread or as part of an authentic Italian platter.
